︎VISUAL STORYTELLING
+ CONTENT CREATION︎
Visual storytelling is where cinematic narrative meets digital strategy. This section features a curated selection of work transitioned from my video art portfolio, now reimagined through the lens of modern audience engagement. My approach combines a technical mastery of long-form YouTube video editing with a strategic understanding of how to translate high-impact narratives into the fast-paced world of vertical platform content creation. By leveraging my background in research-based art and sensory experiences, I create platform-specific content—from immersive YouTube features to high-retention vertical shorts—that captures attention and builds authentic brand connections in an increasingly visual landscape.

Beauty is Pain. This old adage rings true for those of us who have subjected ourselves to Accutane, the so-called miracle, acne-erasing drug. This interview-style short film documents the past ten years of my life dealing with acne and the various treatments I sought to clear it. Many of the prescription treatments have had adverse side effects on my physical and mental health, and this short film brings into question whether or not these side effects are worth it in a society where a woman's value is based heavily on her attractiveness.

Digtal Sculpture
This piece is a visualization of an ongoing medical issue that I have had since childhood. Since the age of seven I have had five surgeries to remove nasal polyps. This has been frustrating as it is generally accepted medical knowledge that polyps do not grow back when removed properly, and that most people deal with them once in their life, if ever. Having no control over this aspect of my health and having to put my trust in surgeons makes me feel powerless, like I did when I was a child, always hoping that each surgery would be the last. At the time I made this I was dealing with yet another nasal polyp. My feeling of powerlessness was also heighted by living in France and not yet having health insurance. At this time my only option was to wait eight months until returning to Canada in order to have surgery.

This piece is a video diary documenting life one year after COVID-19 lockdowns. My birthday the previous year narrowly missed the first lockdown by one week. This was my first birthday where I was stuck at home unable to see my friends. This piece is about readjusting to life in my childhood home and making an enjoyable space for myself while the world is going through a collective upheaval. It documents simple moments of domestic bliss while discussing the idea of what productivity and self care looks like.
